Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was a brilliant success for Xiaomi. For months it dominated the mid-range segment. Now, the successor to that phone has arrived in the form of Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. Let's talk more about the phone.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a "6.26 inch" IPS LCD Display that has a resolution of 2260 × 1080p and it comes in 19:9 aspect rario. There is a notch cut-out at the top.It's got a pixel density of 403 PPI. It is basically the same display that we saw with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. But the resolution has been bumped up a bit.
The hardware remains the same basically. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 that made its debut with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. It has the Adreno 509 GPU. You'll be able to choose between 6GB Ram and 4GB Ram variants. The performance should remain smooth as we saw with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro that had the same chip. But it would have been nice to see a Snapdragon 660 as the mid-range segment is now hot with competition from brands like Realme or Asus.
Xiaomi has updated the software with subtle changes that make up for a better and a smoother experience. It's called the MIUI 10. Xiaomi has switched to the gesture navigation system that we saw with Oneplus and Huwaei doing with their respective skins on top of Android. Though, Gesture-based navigation was there in MIUI 9 but now its less intrusive and better. There are gestures for going back home, switching between apps, closing an app and opening task-manager. It is speed up App opening times and enhance your Usage.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro packs the Same 4,000Mah battery as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro . It's definitely good and should easily give you one day's backup . This time around the battery supports Quick Charge 3.0 . Though, that's not included in the Box, you have to buy it separately.
The Camera apparently is the biggest change you will find . There is a 12-Megapixel ( 1.4 microns pixel size and f/1.9 aperture ) and a 5-megapixel (1.12 microns pixel size and f/2.2 aperture) combo at the back, as well as a 20-megapixel and a 2-megapixel sensor for the selfies and video calling. It depends Largely on its (AI) processing to produce photos with rich colours and better Dynamic Range which Xiaomi says can detect up to 32 scenes.
The camera should perform good as its predecessor Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro did a good job at taking photos and recording videos. With AI it may perform even better.
The connectivity options include Micro-USB Port for charging and data transfer, bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a lot more.
